The Lucent WaveStar TM1 and WaveStar AM1 are extremely compact and cost-effective STM-1 multiplexers, which are especially designed for low-to medium fill STM-1 links from customers premises to access networks and provide up to sixteen 2 Mbit/s ports(up to thirty two 2 Mbit/s ports on the WaveStar. AM1).
The WaveStar TM1 can be equipped with one STM-1 optical line interface. This optical interface is a 1310 nm short-range optical interface compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.957 S.1.1.
The WaveStar AM1 is equipped with two STM-1 optical line interfaces. These optical interfaces are 1310 nm short-range optical interface compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.957 S.1.1. 1+1 MSP protection is also provided.
